Splendour Festival is set within the beautiful grounds of Wollaton Hall & Deer Park, Wollaton, NG8 1BT!
Below you should find all the information you need for getting to Splendour Festival, but if you have any further questions then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
By Bus:
We recommend travelling to the festival via public transport as the most environmentally friendly travel option!
TRAVELLING FROM NOTTINGHAM CITY CENTRE
Nottingham City Transport will be providing a frequent service between the city centre and Wollaton Park and back, making it the easiest way to get to and from the festival.
To reach the Festival, use Pink 30 from the City Centre, with buses picking up at Milton Street alongside the Victoria Centre. Pink 30 will drop you off at the main Wollaton Road entrance of Wollaton Park, with some buses at the busiest times dropping you off inside Wollaton Park.
Towards the end of Splendour, starting from 21:00, Pink 30 will operate from inside Wollaton Park from a dedicated event bus stop near the Wollaton Road entrances with marshalled queue lanes with high-capacity services direct to the city centre, dropping off on Talbot Street, South Sherwood Street and Victoria Centre.
Pay with contactless on the bus, with a single fare costing £3 and all day travel costing £5.50. Simply tap your contactless card / device on the card reader when you get on the bus. There’s no need to ask for a ticket, the system will charge you the right fare based on how many journeys you make that day.
If you’re travelling with others, a Grouprider at £9 will be the best ticket for you. This ticket covers up to 5 people (min 1 adult, max 2 adults) and allows unlimited all day travel on every NCT bus for the day. To buy this ticket with contactless, ask the driver for a Grouprider before presenting your card / device to the reader. Cash is also accepted, exact fare only.
Due to the roadworks on Derby Road this year, you cannot reach Splendour by bus using Orange Line buses to the Wollaton Park Gates on Derby Road. These stops are closed and your nearest alternative stops will be at the QMC.
TRAVELLING FROM THE WEST (DERBY/STAPLEFORD/BRAMCOTE)
Trentbarton’s i4 and red arrow services are a great option if you’re travelling from Derby or surrounding areas.
Both services run frequently between Derby and Nottingham, with stops close to Wollaton Park. Please note that due to roadworks, the stop at University Boulevard (Wollaton Park Gates) will be closed over the festival weekend. The nearest alternative stop for both services is at Queens Medical Centre (QMC), which is around a 15-minute walk to the festival entrance.
Buses run regularly throughout the day and into the evening. You can buy tickets on board or via the trentbarton app.

Wollaton Park boasts 500 acres of parkland with diverse habitats including grassland, wetland and woodland; it’s also home to Wollaton Hall – a stunning Elizabethan manor (famed as being Batman’s house in the ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ film!) The beautiful scenery of the park provides the perfect backdrop to Splendour Festival and we’re proud to call it home!
